Date and Venue
The 3C Conference takes place 19-20 March 2009 at the World Meteorological Organisation (WMO), 7bis, ave. de la Paix, CH-1211 Geneva 2, Switzerland www.wmo.int.
Please note that the WMO Building is a non-smoking building.
Directions to WMO
From the airport:
Taxi: From the taxi rank outside the Arrivals Hall (Ground floor); cost approximately CHF 25–30
Bus: Bus 28 leaves outside the Terminal Building (First floor). The stop is situated to the left as you come out of the terminal. The bus goes all the way to Jardin Botanique, which faces the WMO building (last stop). Cost: CHF 3 (tickets available from machine, which also accepts Euros)
From the city centre of Geneva:
From the main train station (Cornavin), trams 13 and 15 go to the Place des Nations. WMO is then within walking distance (avenue de la Paix, towards the lake – 10 minutes). Buses 1, 11 and 28 all stop at Jardin Botanique, which faces the WMO building. A map of the bus network can be obtained free of charge from the UNIRESO Information Centre at Cornavin Station.
Please note that parking spaces are very limited indeed and that we suggest that you reach the WMO building by public transport or be dropped-off.

Getting around
Please note that participants have to make their own transport arrangements to and fro from their hotel to the WMO building as well as to the Hotel Intercontinental where the evening programme takes place.

Registration on-site
Registration on-site will take place as follows:

Early registration: 18 March 2009, at Hotel Intercontinental next to hotel registration desk, from 17-20 h
- 19 March 2009, at the WMO building, from 8 h onwards (the Conference starts at 9 h).
Please bring an identity document to pick up your Conference folder and badge. Please make use of the early registration option or plan enough time for registration.
Accommodation
The official Conference hotel is Hotel Intercontinental***** which is situated at less than 1 km from the Conference venue. A preferential rate of CHF 260 (excl. VAT and breakfast) for a classic room is offered to 3C Conference participants. Please fill the reservation form and contact Hotel Intercontinental directly.
Additional block bookings have been made in a number of other Geneva hotels. Please make direct contact with the respective hotel and mention "3C Conference 2009" when you make your reservation. List of Hotels
